Refund & Cancellation Policy – MetaPlay

1. Introduction

MetaPlay is a skill-based esports gaming platform. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds are handled for entry fees, in-app purchases, and other digital services on the MetaPlay app and website.

2. No-Refund Policy (Standard Rule)

All payments made on MetaPlay for  in-app purchases (such as coins, passes, or subscriptions), and digital services are final and non-refundable.

Once a user successfully completes a payment, the transaction cannot be cancelled, reversed, or refunded.

3. Exceptions (When Refunds May Be Considered)

Refunds may be considered only in the following cases:

  • ✅ Payment was deducted but the tournament entry or in-app item was not credited to the user’s account.

  • ✅ Transaction failed due to a technical error from MetaPlay’s system.

  • ✅ Unauthorized transaction (subject to verification and investigation).

In such cases, users must contact MetaPlay Support within 48 hours of the transaction with valid proof (transaction ID, screenshots, etc.).

4. Third-Party Payment Gateways

MetaPlay uses third-party payment gateways (such as Google Play, UPI, cards, wallets, etc.) to process payments.

MetaPlay is not responsible for delays, failures, or errors caused by third-party payment providers. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed as per the policies of the respective payment gateway and may take 5–10 business days to reflect in the user’s account.

5. Tournament Cancellation by MetaPlay

If a tournament is cancelled by MetaPlay due to technical issues or operational reasons, the entry fee may be:

  • Refunded to the user’s MetaPlay wallet, or

  • Re-credited as in-app coins, or

  • Refunded to the original payment method (at MetaPlay’s discretion).

6. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring:

  • They meet the eligibility criteria (age 18+)

  • They comply with local laws and regulations

  • They understand the tournament rules before making a payment

MetaPlay does not guarantee winnings, prizes, or success in any tournament.
